Pact Conference & AGM 2022: Time Well Spent?

Early bird registration is now open for the Pact Conference, AGM & Volunteer Awards, taking place on Wednesday 12th October 2022 at De Montfort University, Leicester.

This year’s theme is Time well spent? A prison system that offers everyone a fresh start, exploring how the sector can work together to deliver safer prison regimes, reduce reoffending, and support everyone affected by the criminal justice system.

Pact are delighted to announce Sue McAllister CB (Director General of the Northern Ireland Prison Service 2012 – 2016) as their keynote speaker, and will also be welcoming:

  • Chris Gunderson (Head of Future Regime Design, HMPPS);
  • Dr Lucy Baldwin (Durham University);
  • Pia Sinha (Director of Women, HMPPS);
  • Zoë Short (Governing Governor, HMP Eastwood Park);
  • Erwin James (Author, Columnist & Contributor at The Guardian & Editor in Chief at InsideTime);
  • People with lived experience of the criminal justice system;
  • and representatives from both DMU and Unilink

“The event includes a celebration of our fantastic volunteers, as well as ample opportunity for networking and finding out more about Pact’s work across England and Wales,” said Pact in a statement.
