Cwmbran parishioner awarded diocesan medal as Archbishop recognises his contribution to parish and Archdiocese of Cardiff

At the end of Mass on the Solemnity of the Baptism of the Lord at the parish of Our lady & St David, Cwmbran, South Wales, parishioner Malcolm Williams was recognised by Archbishop George Stack for his contribution to the life of the parish and the wider diocese, and awarded the Diocesan Medal.

“Malcolm has contributed greatly to the spiritual development of the parish.” said Fr Daniel Stanton.

“In 1990, he took over as Choir Master of the St. David’s Parish choir. This same choir still exists today, enhancing the liturgical celebrations for the St. David’s community. In a wider context, he has also served in roles which have facilitated the running of the parish, including the Parish Advisory Council for many years, and, lately, The Parish Building Committee for the last ten years or so.

“Congratulations to you, Malcolm!”
