St John’s Cathedral, Norwich to host East Anglian diocesan World Youth Day

The Diocesan Youth Team in East Anglia is inviting all young people from Year 7 upwards to World Youth Day East Anglia at the Cathedral of St John the Baptist.

Pope Francis has asked that, alongside the international World Youth Days, Youth Sunday be celebrated on the Solemnity of Christ of the King. Youth Sunday will also now be known as World Youth Day.

With the relaunch comes fresh energy to recognise and celebrate young people and their invaluable contribution to the life of the local, national and universal church. There are new resources available here.

In East Anglia the event is happening at St John’s Cathedral on Saturday 20th November from 12pm to 8pm. There will be live music, talks, times of prayer and a vigil Mass with the Bishop.

Musician Matt Dean and comedian Tony Vino, favourites from the Ignite Festival, are coming, and Fr Alvan, (assistant priest from Yarmouth) will be doing a gig.

Places are limited – to book one and for more information please go to www.rcdea.org.uk/youth.
